What is the Best Epilator in Canada?
The Canadian market is very similar to other western markets in regards to epilators. You will still find the top brands such as Braun, Panasonic, Emjoi, Philips and Remington, all on sale with familiar models.
The best is probably the Braun Silk-epil line, and they range from 1 to 9. 9 being the latest, and most improved epilator, but obviously being the most expensive. You can go back as far as the Silk-epil 7 and Silk-epil 5 without feeling like you are missing out on too much of the new improvements, like the wider epilation head in the silk-epil 9. Often its worth the extra money, as it saves you time in the long run, with more efficient motors and wider epilation heads.

The Emjoi epilator range are also great, they don’t often come with a full bundle package like the Braun series epilators, however they are contoured, compact and discreet, excellent for travel and lightweight use. Appearance wise, definitely more appealing altogether. The Emjoi Emagine and Emjoi Erase are both great models, with the Erase e60 making out list due to its compact design, and wired connection, for a stable epilation session without fear of battery loss.
Other worthy models would be the Philips Satinelle epilator, purely for one of the best lightweight, compact and best selling model on the market, its also one of the cheapest on our list, so if you’re looking for a budget epilator, it’s a great choice, along with the similar Erase e60 wired model.

Our best, the Silk-épil 9 has a 40% wider epilation head, when compared with the Silk-épil 7, meaning you can cover a larger area in a shorter amount of time. This being one of the main reasons for the increased price.
The tweezer system utilizes a microgrip technology, which grips the hairs tightly, fully removing hair. It also has a very low reach, pulling hairs that are often missed in shaving or waxing treatments. Unlike the Satinelle this model can be used in the wet and dry alike. Although newer Phillips models also carry this capability.
What you think:
My first made me sweat, even cry, but the following three weeks of being a hairless beauty made it worth it. I have course, thick hair and I’ve been waxing off and on for 25 years. But I have transitioned, I actually really love the stupid torture device. It really does grab tiny hairs; I was able to epilate on hairs after 2 days of growth. Be warned! Your first experience may send you through the roof but each session after that gets easier and easier. It’s like the hairs know what’s coming and give up. Basically, if you’re a waxer, get this little buddy instead.

This can pull hairs down to 0.5mm at the lowest point, however, it is better to take the hairs at 3-4mm with this model. Additionally, with a corded power connection you will enjoy interrupted sessions of torture, I mean treatment! 2 power settings will also help you attack different areas of thickness on the body.
What you think:

72 tweezers are integrated into the head and can remove a larger quantity of hair than most brands out there, in the target area. One of our favorite features is the Silver Ion technology. Slightly above average cost but it does come with a serious amount of extras. It can be used in wet or dry and comes with a large number of attachments. 6 in total, including a pedicure buffer, razor and varying sizes of epilating heads. A cool feature for those with sensitive skin is the hypo-allergenic blades that are perfect for removing hairs on fragile areas. The pop-up tray collects any longer length hairs that are removed, saving a clear up job.

I just love this epilator! I tried epilating years ago, before moving to waxing and lasers for hair removal. But waxing was expensive, as were the lasers. I did some research and tried this Panasonic and I love it. You can use it everywhere and I do, even to maintain my brazilian. I love that it has a bigger epilating head and a smaller one, for tight places, haha. A beautifully designed, corded epilator with a ton of cool features. The dual heads are opposed, to taut the skin automatically during your session, saving you a lot of work with your hands. The head has 60 tweezers inside 2 compartments, which has a smooth lining to glide over the skin, preventing any irritation. This is, of course, more difficult to stop on sensitive skin, but it helps to keep your motions smoother during the treatments regardless. It can be used on the face and body alike, although I might personally want to use a small target zone for contoured areas of the face.

You’ll notice immediately that this is unlike any other epilator on our list. This is the original epilady that has a coiled epilating head and a very slim design. In general, Epilady pulls coarse hair out, roots and all. However, finer hairs may break off closer to the surface. To prevent that you can wait for your hair to grow a bit before going in to a session. Hair has to be a bit long just like waxing. Albeit it’s more painful than waxing, but way more convenient.”
